  1. Michael’s first words after ‘Wormhole Surfing’ played were: “Welcome back.”
I interpreted this as him welcoming me back to time and space, because I had clearly been transported outside of those things.

  2. Loved the battle, as per usual. The guests each brought some brilliant tracks, and definitely expanded my horizons regarding VGM.

One thought regarding what’s considered acceptable for submissions. I noticed the Pokémon Red and Blue track had post-chip reverb added to it. In contrast to the Nier Automata track(which was edited solely to display a part of the tune we all wouldn’t have heard otherwise), it could be argued that the PRAB track, as you heard it, was not strictly chiptune, nor would have been possible on the Gameboy Color due to the reverb.

That may or may not matter to you, but I just wanted to mention it. Again, fantastic episode! Keep ‘em coming! And I look forward to the eventual(hopefully) UK/US VGM battle!

    1. Hello Nathan!

Yes, I noticed that reverb on the OST release version of the Pokémon tune – I was happy to allow it since it doesn’t really do anything to alter the general profile of the composition, for my money at least. That said, I generally prefer to hear chiptunes without effects!

Thanks a lot for listening, and yes, a UK/US battle is something I have been thinking about… I’m sure I’ll work something out one day!

      All the best for now,

      Michael
